Fun projects & games while learning about Kenya: Mancala, Clay pots, Paper beads & Shisima & new recipes
This past month we've been learning lots about Kenya thanks to a few different resources. We've been making our own board games, clay pots inspired by the Maasai and paper beads. And have also enjoyed some vegan Kenyan recipes too!
We just finished up Snail week in Exploring Nature With Children and we did two different kinds of crafts which I'm sharing with you in this post. We created the sweetest little snails out of clay and also some really simple paper ones using just a variety of circle sizes!
This is currently one of our favourite creations: Our first ever incense holder! I am absolutely in love with how it turned out and Nixie is so incredibly proud of it. We love making candles in our house, there's something extra cosy about making them from scratch and then lighting them up. There are so many different ways to make candles. we love using clay and making little bowls out of them and then just adding the wax to them but you could also just use little jars and paint them to make them a little more special. We tend to make a lot of heart themed candles.
