Since we've been learning about Japan we decided to have a look at some of their artists and we learned about Yayoi Kusama and made our own little piece inspired by her thanks to an amazing tutorial I found via Lotta Magazine on Instagram. Below I share how I did it but for a more detailed version check out her page.

What To Do:

1. First paint your flower pot and your wooden dowel

2. Add a lump of clay into the bottom of your pot (this is to add weight so that it will stand)

3. Add your wooden dowel or stick (stem) into the clay

4. Next cut the bottom of your plastic bottle into a flower shape

5. Next cut two leaves along the long part of your bottle

6. Paint your parts and let them dry

7. Add your eye to your flower by cutting out three shapes. One eye ball shape. one bigger eyelash shape and a small circle for the centre of the eye. Glue them on (if not using sticky backed foam)

8. Now add polka dots all over your piece

9. Now attach all your pieces together! Glue your flower to your stem and then glue your leaves into the sides of your pot.
