Marzipan Beetles!

We've been learning about beetles so thought we'd make some edible ones and these little marzipan beetles were just the perfect little edible project. The kids absolutely loved making them!

What You'll Need:

  • Marzipan
  • Black gel food dye
  • edible lustre powder in metallic colours
  • paint brushes
  • knifes
  • chopsticks to makes holes for eyes
  • bowls
  • water

What To Do:

1. Add a few drops of black food colouring to your marzipan and knead together.

2. Make your beetle shapes

3. Next mix a little of your lustre powder with a tiny bit of water and then paint away and let sit to dry and then enjoy your beetle treats!
