Bird Sculpture
While searching online for different sculpture artists we came upon the work of Barbara Kobylinska who creates these incredible birds with an abstract flare which we fell in love with immediately and knew right away that we needed to include a piece inspired by her.

Barbara Kobylinska Inspired Birds
This was another papermache based project.
Here's what you need:
- wallpaper paste (or whichever papermache glue/paste you prefer)
- newspaper/papermache paper
- plastic bottle (i used a 12 ounce bottle otherwise the sculptures would be enormous!)
- styrofoam balls or anything round that could work for the head
- cardboard rolls of all sorts, any recyclable materials
- tinfoil
- masking tape
- acrylic paints/paint pens
Here's How We Created Them:
- First add rice or beans to the bottle so that it doesn't topple over. First we created the neck by cutting wire for the neck and then adding tinfoil around it to our desired thickness and then put it into the bottle. Then we added the head.
- Next, we began to papermache our birds and added crests to the top of their heads by cutting cardboard and gluing them on with hot glue. We also used random materials around the house to add texture.
- Once dry, it was time to paint them!
- And once dry they are finished!
